Rooting Your Worth & Settling Your Spirit

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”

-Psalm 1:1-3
Have you ever seen an abandoned garden? Instead of bearing good fruit, the plot of land grows weeds & thistles. Because no one cared for the garden, there was no opportunity for life to grow. Seedlings of flowers and vegetables had no chance to survive when the water & nutrients from the soil were overtaken by the stronger weeds and thorns.
Your heart is like a garden. You were created in the image of God, and He designed your heart to be a place where relationships flourish & love grows abundantly. But we have an enemy who tries to destroy our hearts by planting weeds and thorns that will take over and choke out the good seeds planted by the Lord. Friends, we need to be aware of the battle taking place in the soil of our hearts, and we need to fight back against the enemy’s plan of destruction. This guide will help you to replace deeply rooted lies with even deeper truths. Let’s plant seeds of life & hope together as we cultivate the soil of our hearts into a place where the gospel can take root and flourish.

No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Matthew 6:24

I know your deeds; you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were one or the other! So because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of My mouth!

Revelation 3:16

These verses are just two examples of what motivated us to get feisty for truth. We want to encourage you to run this race well, not to earn the love of God, but because of the love of God which you are already blessed with. We long to see our generation abandon the narrative of apathy that we see in our culture at large, and to instead be filled with compassion, grace, and gospel-centered hope.
